@TheBookWorm1718 i just read about another psychopathic tendancy that gives people pleasure in pushin others infront of trains or cars so i guess the statistics have just changed if you include this

is it just me or did that singer in the subway sound a lot like Tool's vocalist?

Both Goren and Eames from Criminal Intent were on episodes of Homicide: Life on the Street, as we see here, Goren's character is a victim, when Eames was on it, she was a murderer but a victim also. I find it funny that the two main lead detectives from that show both appeared on this show several years earlier.

@imanrashida I would never want to go on a subway, but I did read that as it turns out, only 17 people die every year from falling off a platform, so I suppose that's some condolence that it's very rare.

@GycuBrun : It is a great story with depth character analysis. Greatest hour of TV? No, not at all. Great hour of TV? Hell yeah.

Homicide was always geared toward the thinker and not generally toward the short attention span. Things were never thrown in the audiences faces --- subtlety was intricately and thoughtfully interwoven in this most elite police drama. The show often left one thinking and that was its genius. The message was invariably that nothing is ever what it appears.

One of the best hours of television ever produced. On the VHS tape of this episode, they include the PBS special of the making of this episode. Also worth your time. Thanks so much for posting!

Vincent D'Onofrio is one of the most powerful actors I've ever seen. God blessed this man with a gift that most of us can never understand.
this show was like, wayy better than Law & Order
