Chinese guy silently destroys his HP laptop in store!

Well, here's one thing you can do with your HP Pavillion DV series laptop when the nVidia chip eventually fails (cos it will)
HP are dragging their heels recalling these laptops with the following inherent design faults:- a) the processor (which gets very hot) shares a heat sink with the graphics chip and b) the graphics chip is connected to the motherboard using lead free solder, which means the solder, under the extreme heat, migrates and causes the graphics to go AWOL. Many think it's their screen that has gone - it isn't, it's the nVidia 8600gs graphics chip.

There were rumours that HP had offered a 3year extended warranty on these, but I'm not sure of the reliability of that information....and obviously this guy isn't either!!!

STOP PRESS - Recently I called HP UK and they deny any faults with the nVidia graphics chip, despite me telling them how many YouTube videos there were from people with this problem!! The only thing they're recalling DV laptops for is the batteries!!! Ridiculous.

HP laptops are the fucking WORST.

I have a dv6 and had to send it in TWICE. Also their customer service SUCKS COCK. THANK YOU AHMED FOR "repairing" MY MOTHERBOARD AND UNDERCLOCKING MY CPU, THAT SURE HELPED THE OVER HEATING ISSUE A WHOLE FUCKING LOT! I STILL AVERAGE 80DEGREES ON CORETEMP. WHY DONT YOU STUPID FUCKS DESIGN A LAPTOP WITH PROPER AIRFLOW.

Yes. I'm fucking mad. Don't support HP.

@JoeDawg2100 Oh yea, my friend also bought a hp laptop im not sure what model but i know it was 4gs' ram gma 3100 and a core-duo processor.He doesn't play games often but when its turned on 10 min It gets very hot he must use external cooler I don't know wherer the problem is but think HP SUCKS!!!

I paid $1500 dollars for my HP laptop last year. Now it over heats everytime I play music or video. Just get a Toshiba or something. Don't waste your money.
