@murali2011 I think one of the main reason India is cozying up to SL right now is because their afraid of what might happen if China takes control. And this is a a valid concern. I personally think Rajapksa regime has alot more in common with the CCP than the somewhat democratic India.

Yes, but SL never listen to India. They supported Pak during india-pak war. They supported China during india-china war. Indian foreign policy makers never understood or cheated by SL for so long. Only few people like Indra Gandhi and Nehru are handled SL at their best. There were instances that Indian diplomats enjoyed foreign import models and worked for money of SL gov. Now even if India think they cannot control SL. China has so much more control in SL.
