I noticed you said 「墓地」BOCHI, not 「霊園」REIEN... is it more common to say 墓地?

霊園 is written on the sign at the entrance.

Nothing freaky at all.

Leave it be if you don't belong there, have anyone in your family buried there. Go to a museum or a shopping mall instead...
