To those who miss the early Muse, I'm sorry to say if you don't like today's Muse, you really don't like Muse, The Resistance is the first album that's 100% their creation, with no help of any producer or anyone really, its just Muse on its more pure state. And take note Bellamy always wanted to add more classical music, but the album producers didn't let him on the early Muse albums. Viva Muse!! One of the few innovative bands of the century!

@panetero I never said that, the obviously made the changes with their consent, and agreed of course, making the songs awesome nevertheless.

However they were not only limited to Muse's (Matt, Chris, Dom) ideas, that's what I mean when I say "The Resistance is the first album that's %100 their creation", because they produced the album, and no one touched their original ideas. But to each its own if you think its not like that, its your opinion :)

@asc64642 So you're saying they changed it without their permission? If that's the case, it doesn't say much about the band's integrity and work ethics.

I'm not going to watch a documentary about Muse, I'm sorry I don't like them THAT much. Anyway, "Showbiz" & "Origin of Symmetry" are still Muse, whether you like it or not. They decided to publish those albums, they accepted and have been playing those songs live for years. End of the story.

Bellamy compose most of Muse songs, not sure if all.

On every Muse album, producers DID changed the final result of Matt's final composes, as in lyrics, and how the song developed overall, making some drastic changes sometimes, most notably on "Showbiz" and "Origin of Symmetry" albums.

I'll recommend you to watch Muse's own documentary out there, I based my comment on that, not on my personal beliefs/thoughts or musical likes :)
