I wonder if we would have laughed at this in the 1950s if we had known this would still be true in 2010.

I loved it the first time I heard it, even though I was only seven at the time. I then got sent to the principle's office for singing it on the playground at school. The teacher said something about how I didn't like anyone...

@rainydog My pleasure.

Showing House at "and I don't like anybody very much" = brilliant

I first heard this on the Kingston Trio's "Hungry I" LP, in the late 50s. Not much seems to have changed in half a century!

This song sounds like it was taken from todays headlines. Proving that nothing has changed much. I do have to admit though I laughed hard at it ROFL:)

@chabapan My fault. I mean prophet. Thanks for the correction.

I grew up with my Mom's music. The one song I couldn't find on youtube is I saw Esaw! Man, I couldn't even remember this band! So cool that I found it! Thank you for posting all the songs!
Your illustrations are outstanding. Thanks!

@Gardoglee I also got in trouble for singing this at school. Only in my case it was high school and during the Cuban missile crisis. I was called into the dean's office (boarding school) and told to cease and desist. My definitely off-beat sense of humor was NOT appreciated! LOL
Thanks, rainydog, for posting this. It brought back many memories.

@Bobs113 You were right on for singing it when in High School. Often some people are never ready for the truth, even in humor. Song writers, comedians, artists, and poets are usually out front way ahead of the rest of the world. Keep singing and never give up. Thanks for stopping by.
