Singapore Drummer Boy - Drums Channel

Another great song to test out my new Roland V-Hi-Hat (Model: V-11) to the max. This is 1 of those songs where i cant help but sing along while playing to the beats. =)

I made some minor changes to the song as 1 of my frens pointed out this song uses tambourine overdubs on 16th beats, so i decided to play the hi-hat in that way to substitute the tambourine. Added some flams & also some snare off-beats towards the end, to add some flare to the song. =)

Hope u enjoy my cover for this one. I still owe myself 1 Firehouse song to cover. I'm also working on a nice song from the band, Foreigner. So stay tuned & keep your eyes peeled !!

  • @AmritBD , you can pm me your email address & i can send you the drum tab for this song. Thx, glad u enjoy my cover. Do check out my newly uploaded Pearl Jam cover. Thx

  • eyy i was just wondering about your setup

you have the splash cymbal in the middle

i was wondering how often you use it because im planning on getting one

i wanted to know if its worth getting

    thanks :)

  • @DjDCD07 , the middle is the Ride cymbal, not Splash. Its worth expanding all the available cymbal options in your Roland kit, to max out all the playing variety you can use. Go for it. =)

  • eyyy whats the set up on your drum set?

is it the splash in the middle?

cuz im thinking about getting a splash cymbal soon and i was just wondering how often your using it?

    thanks :)

  • @KBryant24LAL , oic. Thx for this valuable tip. I will go try it out & experiment how best to record my videos with the best captured sound possible. Hopefully, u all will get to see a great improvement in audio capture in my upcoming videos. Thx bro once again for your help & advice.

  • @SingaporeDrummerBoy um.. i'm starting to record myself, but my friend he has ur drumset and uhh he made a video on facebook. overall it was a fantastic. i asked him for help and this is what he suggested:

anyways soo you record your drums using quick record on the module....after you turn the vol as low as possible on your module...plug it into your comp and hit the play back button on ur module and see if audactiy picks it up

iamma experiement myself. but yeah... keep up the good work!

  • @KBryant24LAL , thx bro for the tip. I am still experimenting on how best to record my video covers. I'm upgrading my video recording equipment soon to hav one that comes with a Audio Line Input, so that i can use the Phone Output from TD9K to plug into the video recording device's Line In. Will this help? I try to avoid recording the video & audio on 2 separate sources & then having to use video editing software to sync them together, too much hassle for me.

  • hmm good job i guess. uhhh. i have a roland td9k. i suggest plugging you module with an aux chord into ur computer. but thats just me (:

  • @ThePheo13 , it costs ard $4k plus. After adding more add-on options, it comes out to abt $5k.
