Dario Marianelli (born June 21, 1963 in Pisa, Italy) is a composer of piano, orchestral, and film music. He has composed the soundtracks for The Brothers Grimm (2005) and Pride & Prejudice (2005). He received Oscar nominations for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score for Pride & Prejudice and Atonement. He has won Best Original Score for the score of Atonement at the 80th Academy Awards and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score. He has collaborated with Joe Wright for three times, including Pride & Prejudice, Atonement, and The Soloist. Recently, he has been composing ringtones for Vertu Phones.

@WillBejen As much as I admire and share your enthusiasm and love for Mr. Darcy, I beg you not to compare him to Edward Cullen. Edward Cullen will never hold a candle to Mr. Darcy.

Me and my best friend are 15 years old and we've seen this movie at the very least twenty times, I swear! Every time I see it again, I notice a small detail I hadn't seen before and it just makes me love this movie even more. The soundtrack is mind blowing... And Jane Austen is a genius, of course.
