@RJHaidHD it doesnt hurt to have multiple software i have both and use both , but always been a fan of fcp! plus this one seems to have a better interface than the last one! easier to work with!

Thanks for this.
Is there a keyboard shortcut for the Record button? The Spacebar stops recording but what key starts it?

Should Apple call it iMovie Pro instead of Final Cut Pro X? The interfaces are much like iMovie while Final Cut Pro interfaces are not. I've read many websites and seen many clips on YouTube about "Final Cut Pro X" causes so many confusion to many Final Cut Pro editors because they don't want to spend times, moneys, and effforts to learn and master the new software while they have been experiencing and mastering the Final Cut Pro for years. I hope Apple team will release a new Final Cut Pro 8.

fcp x doesnt recognise my canon xf100 via usb so cant record voiceover with pro xlr mic connected to camera.
Any suggestions how to make this work, cam has hdmi, usb and av terminal out ( no firewire)
Could you please do a tutorial on putting muzzle flashes and explosions into final cut and how to blur out parts of a clip. (so you can blur out things such as addresses and license plates) If you did that i would be so thankful!

Awesome Jon thanks! I've been looking around fcp x and finally found it yesterday -,- haha, I'm still not sure about FCP X, still deciding whether it or Premiere Pro CS5.
