: The new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V lays down a blistering time at Germany's Nurburgring. Driver John Heinricy completed a lap of the legendary Nordschleife in 7:59.32 which could possibly be the fastest recorded time for a production sedan on factory-spec street tires.
@derbigpr500 The only official RS4 number in stock form on stock street tires was 8:09 in June of 06. The 07:58 run in '05 was done with aftermarket tires by a professional race driver who says that's his favorite track. Granted Heinricy has some race time as well, but the difference of 1.32 seconds is slim. Given the other slower times by the Audis, I think driver skill/familiarity with the track payed a much greater factor than anything else. Who cares though, they both excellent cars!
Very nice lap...but its not the fastest 4 door saloon. Stock Audi RS4 with only 420hp did a faster lap. And im sure i've seen on some forums people post their times from Audi RS6's, that are also below 8 seconds.
New cars burn on the ring all the time. Your argument is flawed and idiotic. Dont you remember the new V10 Audi burning or the BMW Hydrogeon car exploding? Shit happens, it doesnt mean they suck. Your just out here trying to get a rise out of people with your stupid comments. Get a life and an education.
is it still the worlds fastest production sedan.

If you think logically, the ZR-1 doing a 10 minutes lap? Yes, if you're 89 years old with cataract and have only one leg.

I must admit, I am pleasantly surprised by the new CTS. If Cadillac makes them more like this, they can be again regain their world class image.
