A 'Winter Ramble' organised by Natural England around Aqualate Mere on the Shropshire- Staffordshire border.
As the guide explains, Aqualate Mere is the largest natural lake in the Midlands, being formed by a Glacier in the ice age.
Around 50 people turned up to be shown around by the Natural England guide Mel Brown where we were treated to a display of a large Starling Roost just after sunset.
This unedited footage uploaded as part of the 'Britain in a Day' project.
@matjames100 The 'Britain in a Day' project specifically said 'No Editing' as they just wanted the raw footage, wheras normally I would probably have cut this down to 2 minutes with a nice bit of Bird music :)

hmmm... it'd probably benefit from a little editing - I guess you had to be there
