I think it's a bit of the halo effect. People associate nun = good (therefore, less "wrong"), prostitute = bad (therefore, more "acceptable.")

I don't approve of people hurting each other for any reason, no matter how just their actions seem to be. Religion doesn't take away knowledge, in fact it can give you a greater understanding of life, not to mention more appreciation. There is no ignorance there is knowledge. If you choose not to believe in God for what ever reason that is your business, but there is no need to insult others for their believes. It is my opinion that it is wrong to have sex with more than one person for money.
