monster is an amazing anime and so fucking underrated, take a look at it. like david sylvian it is greatly underapreciated but so great that it is unmissable to any anime fan who knows about it.

For some reason, the DVD version didn't have the lyrics...then I first heard it on the uploaded episodes and I gasped!! Such a good choice for Monster which is also amazing!

@altareggo It's quite underestimated compared to some of the other stuff out there, which is huge beyond comparison. It is fantastic though, it's one of my favorite anime of all time, just amazing show.

@niccilomachiaveli Its not THAT under-estimated!! Its immensely popular and is rated in the top 30 animes of all time. I'm watching it now... fantastic series!!!!! Great music too. Its so sad the way they keep killing so many of the major characters, though: you just get to know them and POW!! Johan strikes again.

@MatheusManentee Oh, yes, I started watching Monster. That's why I visited the song on YouTube, when I heard in at the end of the first episode I was thrilled - a good show with my favorite artist's song at the end. :)

@HistoryOfHoles I can understand exactly what you're saying. I used to hate anime back then, felt like a bunch of colorful and nonsense crap for me. Still it is today, actually LOL. But well, Monster is one beautiful exception. Strong, complex storyline, great soundtrack, nice artwork. I'd say that it's just as artistic and deep as the great works that David Sylvian created. Give it a try someday. BTW, yes, David deserves more recognition than that.
