This is me training for the Devil's Steps on the Japanese obstacle course Ninja Warrior.

Doing this while keeping my legs up made it harder, but it was still pretty easy.

Also, this video is somewhat old now. I forgot to upload it when I first made it. I'm much better now.

  • Did you see how unstable that was! Your pretty damn brave I'll give you that!

  • Thanks, but it wasn't that bad. It just bends a little and tips from side to side a bit.

    Aluminum ladders for ya.

  • Nice work, your doing great. Weather atm is keeping me from trying the devil steps. I'm a lazy boy! When watching this i was pretty concerned about the ladder shaking around like that xD But it seemed pretty stable. When are you planning to give Ninja warrior a go?

  • I'll crush the course when they let me on.

  • Damn really good Leon but yeah i agree, try practicing without a full grip. either way this was a really good video and happy thanksgiving!!

  • Ok, fine, I'll try a limited grip, but I'm telling you, it's all about the climb, not the grip.

  • The real steps let you hook your fingers into them, making it quite easy to hang on. I'm sure that won't be a problem. This is all about climbing strength, really.

I'll conquer the real thing easily, don't worry.

  • Very good, but it's not just about the angle of the grips, but also about hand position (The steps themselves don't let you wrap your fingers around them, giving a full grip).

I know you know that from your other devils steps training, I'm just saying that although it's good to change certain exercises occasionally, don't get too used to training like that or you won't be able to adjust back to the right training very well.
