If you tell yourself that you'll never have your favorite food ever again it will cause those cravings. See Paul McKenna "I can make you thin". It is a mental issue. To get past this you can imagine eating that crispy cream donut off the floor of a hair salon. Hold the thought until it makes you gag. Repeat if you crave it again.

I'm trying to go raw too and organic generally is way out of my range.

im sorry about the donuts thing. im the same way.

I know what you mean about doughnut. I miss them so. Take Care n Good Luck!!

I'm on the same path that you are on. In fact, I think you are a little bit ahead of me :)
The organic, In one of Victoria Boutenko's books there is a chart that shows the difference nutrient wise, or organic food verses non and it is an incredible difference! I buy organic when I have the option but not when I can't find it... this is just what I do. :) My whole foods Market is about the same distance as yours so I'm really looking forward to the farmer's markets this summer!

Don`t know where you live, and most of the year it`s not a complete soltution, but where I live there is a lot of wild stuff to supplement. You can just start simple with some dandelion and red clover tops maybe? Also. I don`t know if you do seaweeds, but you can get lots of great stuff for really cheap.

I don't know either, that is why Roger Haeske will coach me soon. You should go to his website and meet bloggers like you. It is not about raw, it is about health. You will set the benefits! My husband is doing this low fat 80/10/10 Dr. Graham. for a year now and he came in 48th overall in NYC marathon this past Sun. He feels awsome and recovers wonderfully!

I noticed too that I eat bad when I am around my friends so i have to avoid them.
Seaweed makes me disgusted, I can just smell the ocean in it seriously. I m fr the Caribbean so when I was little I use to go to the beach a lot and when swimming the ocean water would get into my mouth or nose and I feel that everytime I try to eat seaweed
I really hope to see a update from you soon.

im not raw yet, but i plan on switching over in the next couple weeks. I wanted to read a few books on it before i did so i could do it the right way. You made a great point about going to the store... Let me know how thats going for you or if you found an easier way.... I am going to be in that same boat :(
Hey... Are supplements required for a raw food lifestyle?
IrelandIsyla 4 years ago
No, they're not really required. A lot of raw foodists just take natural green powder supplements, which have "superfoods" in them such a spirulina, for added nutrition. We're just trying to be as healthy as we can be!

Let me just start out by saying, fantastic makeup....on the organic thing, I agree it is a difficult transition, from being unavailable or being mega bucks....still, it seems to be worth it, I find it smells better and tastes better. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't have bugspray on it! ;)

thanks! i know you're right about organic. i'm just going to have to really reevaluate my budget and i'm going to have to look for local farms or something err.. i really hope i can work it out.
