Thomas Terrell Brandon (born May 20, 1970) is an American former professional basketball player in the NBA. He attended the University of Oregon and was selected 11th overall in the 1991 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Brandon spent the first six years of his career in Cleveland, and was selected to play in the NBA All-Star Game in 1996 and 1997. He was also awarded the NBA Sportsmanship Award in 1997.

After playing for the Cavaliers, Brandon played two years for the Milwaukee Bucks before being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. By this point, Brandon was considered one of the best point guards in the game.

Brandon finished his career averaging 13.8 points, three rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.58 steals per game, and came within six points of scoring 10,000 in his career. His career-high for assists registered in a game was 16, which he accomplished five times. Terrell was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.

  • People dont know this, but NBA Champion Sam Cassell is a fan of Terrell Brandon. He says he model his game, ESPECIALLY HIS JUMP SHOT, after Terrell. That shows u how great this guy was. I love this vid of him. He was a very underrated star in the NBA. Mark Price had an influence on him. Terrell is a great person and a great player. An NBA Talent no doubt. When u r label the best point guard in the world by Sports Illustrated n the NBA, U have done something. He is truly an Super Star.

  • I don't think he really was a fan of Terrell. He just said he admired his mid range game. Jeff Hornacek was the guy who Sam Cassell favorited.

  • Oh he was a fan my friend. He obvious liked something about the guy game or liked his gm. LOL.

  • Ok, but Sam Cassell said "When I first came in the league, the guy I most admired on shooting mid-range jump shot was Terrell Brandon". So he only liked 1-3 things about him. Just liking a few things about a ball player doesn't actually make you a fan. A fan is someone who is admires everything about him/her.

  • So when u ask a fan of the Clippers or a team that is a losing franchise, what do they like about them, do u think they r going to say they like the fact that they r losing. LOL. Same thing. Im sure they r going to say no n that is part of the clippers or a losing team or player. Fans marvel at things they like about the thing or persons at hand my friend. N it doesnt have to be 100% everything. LOL. No disrespect to Clippers fans to. Just any example.

  • Yea, TB was a beast. Very underrated.

  • Whats the name of the song?

  • i.m.o. 1 of the best midrange shooters ever

  • @blackprince206

Definitely would have taken the T-Wolves to the finals, possibly winning a ring. Him and KG were tearing it up.

  • @sonicspin45 Ha! i know exactly what your talking bout. Nice call out.

  • Just imagine if Stephon Marbury, with all of his talent, had Terrell's attitude and approach to the game. He'd be one of the top-15 greatest players in NBA history. Terrell was the smartest guard in the league 1992-2000, and that's saying a lot.

  • @celtixjc agreed

  • i got this on vhs too! 97!

  • He reminds me of Ben Gordon a lot. Great player, very underrated.

  • Terrell Brandon was awesome. Waaaay underrated. If he were on a contender he would have gotten alot more recognition. Neverthe less he had a solid career and is one of my top 5 fav PG's

  • Terrell Brandon up close at 0:43 almost looks a little bit like actor Duane Martin whom starred in the film Above the Rim and actually had a tryout with the Knicks in the late 1980s before being cut from the team.
