Ancient Greek is the basic of western culture. There would be no science and no nothing without philosophy. Everything has evolved from the seed of thinking about the world.

@lesgravions Have you ever thought that this so-called "today's society" is bit overrated?
-
@dontlayeggs absolutely not

@dontlayeggs Honestly, it was what we called fanaticism.... We human work in complementary invention based society. You cannot live alone by yourself reading literature for the rest of your life. You also need to make a contribution, and the contribution you would make is also based on others contribution.
Surely you can still live by just eating, drinking, having sex, and blah-blah-blah. But if that so, you cannot live in today society where everybody appreciate each other

Wow , its very interesting lecture .
What is the meaning of Big Bang machine. It wasted millions and was shut down. How did it help the world.
Literature helps you with creative thinking which is also useful in science. Literature helps to point out problems and helps to understand different characters who also exist in real world. That is more important than some machine. We could live without electricity but not without communicating.
