Thanks for the video. like jaredrose2 i came across an error as well When i was creating the Image file on my desktop, The popup said "Unable to create "OS X Install HDD(image name).dmg" (input/output error). would you know any workaround that one?

Thanks for the video - but I came across a problem - on the final step I got the error - "Could not find any scan information. The source image needs to be imagescanned before it can be restored."

Several readers have reported a Disk Utility alert message when trying to restore the MacOS X installer disc image to the bootable hard drive created in part one. Introduce the following step after the OSX installer disc image is created, but before you try to restore it to your bootable hard drive. Select the OS X installer disc image in the list of disks and volumes. Then choose Images > “Scan Image for Restore” from the Disk Utility menu. Let the process complete
