An Egyptian panel is rushing through approval of a new constitution which is at the centre of a political crisis pitting Mohamed Morsi, the Islamist president, against several opposition parties. By late on Thursday afternoon, the constituent assembly, which has been boycotted by liberals and Christians, had approved almost one-fifth of 234 articles. The approvals include a unanimous decision to retain the principles of Islamic law as the main source of legislation. Al Jazeera's Hyder Abbasi reports.

There is no such thing as justice with the religion of Islam. There is only Sharia law. What a joke! Muslims will never have freedom or democracy! Personally, I hope we stay out of it and let these crazy bastards continue killing each other. At least the rest of the world will be safer! The modern world will never civilize these crazy bastards!

Every Egyptian who loves his/her country must prevent modifying ten Egyptian constitution. The Morsi’s introduced changes are EXACTLY how the mullahs changed the power structure in Iran and everyone knows how democracy is NOT possible in Iran now. If you love Egypt stop the Moslem brotherhood to change your constitution. Keep your laws secular and free from ANY religious oversight.

No food, no jobs, no future - Egyptians begin to understand that Mubarak was the best thing that ever happened to them.

Exactly, that why I see that my fellow egyptians shouls have more patience because they are not giving him time or space to do any reforms, the country is in ruins after Mubarak, so it would take much longer time for anything to change, the Mubarak dessolved regime are still trying their best to cause havock and mayhem to revenge form the people and from the Morsi/Muslim Brotherhood regime.

Though I agree that Morsi's decree is very dictatorial and highly suspicious, I dont see the point of those protester's call for his resignation, as both him and the assembly members were elected by free and fair election, weren't they?
