This is the reason why physics is harder than it should be. Teachers teach 16th century techniques and use 20th century methods to solve the simple problems that plague every student in physics. This video explains some of the problems of the current methods of teaching.

  • This video's actually funny lol. but if a person (for ex. engineering student) takes this a serious way then here's what he would come up with:

"Newton spent his entire life working on physics. He lived, this is why we have particular dynamics. The old physics is the reason behind the new discoveries and the new technology we are creating right now. you think we need to change the physics? I think you got the wrong youtube username".

  • This is insulting. Kinematics is not outdated. It is a history lesson, but it's useful! You have to start learning somewhere. The basic physics of movement is key to understanding more complicated approaches to problems. You can't slam a intro physics student with Lagrangian Mechanics. Newtonian Mechanics? There are entire courses dedicated to this branch (Classical Mechanics). I don't think you really understand how complicated some of this stuff is.
