I hear what you're saying. Before even touching Hoppy, we consulted our neighbour who has experience raising deer. Hoppy was too weak to even get up when we found him. His ankle seemed sprained and in the 30c+ heat, I really don't think he would have lasted long. We did what we thought was best. Thanks for the comment...
