What the heck??? What about the angles? This is a good way to ruin your skis. This man has no idea hot this works.

um, seriously? free-handing with a file and diamond stone? talk about wrecking your edges. follow this guy's advice and you'll screw up your edges bit time.

What are the edge angles? Will this technique reproduce the factory angles?

hmm, he misses a step of using a guide. without using a guide you're not getting a consistent edge angle--and you stand a good chance of wrecking your skis.

This is very practical because it doesn't require 50 different steps to complete the task. Some other videos feature more stones than a spring weekend at Mt. Baker...and that's a double pun, if u know what I mean.

45 degree angle as in, the file, not the edge

Im not sure I understand...a 90 angle would look like this' L ' correct ? thats how the edges come from the factory.....I dont even think I could get a 45 angle the side wall of the ski would prohibit it ?

45 degree ?? it seems every vid on here says something different...I took a clinic at REI they told me 90 degree...than a 1-3 degree file along the edge
