In the film, Silvio (played by Silvio Muccino, the director's younger brother) has no interest in the student rebellion taking place at his high school. His fascination lies with Valentina (Giulia Carmignani), the prettiest girl in the school, however, Valentina already has a jealous boyfriend, Martino (Simone Pagani). Silvio finally has a moment alone with Valentina, and they share a kiss, but Silvio makes the mistake of telling his gossipy best friend, Ponzi (Giuseppe Sanfelice). By the end of the day the entire school knows about the kiss, including a very angry Martino and Claudia (Giulia Steigerwalt), a young classmate who has a big crush on Silvio.

As things grow more complicated for him at school, Silvio finds no relief at home with his ex-revolutionary parents (Anna Galiena and Luca De Flippo), his love-starved brother (Enrico Silvestrin), and his secretive sister (Giulia Ciccone). In the end, this smartly written farce of confused intentions finds Silvio with a new object of affection -- one he had regarded simply as a friend but who, in fact, turns out to be much more.

  • Really? Good job! I didn't know Americans hate foreing movies dubbed... why?

  • Here's our theory: Europeans grow up watching American TV shows dubbed into the local language. They are quite used to the process. Americans grow up watching English language shows always in perfect lip-synch. It is culturally foreign for Americans to watch dubbed product. Those who gravitate towards foreign fare prefer the original version in which lips and voices match perfectly. Hence, the need for subtitles.

  • I'm Italian and of course I saw this movie! I just wanted to know if the english version is subbet or with subtitles! I'd like to watch it with english voices!

  • It's subtitled. You know how Americans hate dubbing.

  • I am so in love with this movie right now...! It's so very pretty!
