It was a monumental first day at the Dubai Air Show when two UAE pilots took to the skies to demonstrate the Lockheed Martin F-16 Block 60 and Dassault Mirage 2000-9. Longtime friends, Captain Khaled Al Jabri and Captain Masoud Al Falahi, demonstrated the success of their Air Force by being the first UAE pilots to fly tactical fighters at the show.

I was a crew chief for the UAE program in Tucson Arizona, and we were sad to see the Block 60 leave. On the good side, it meant the UAE was now able to sustain their own training mission. Great jets!
