Casa Grande Ruins National Monument

The main building of this Hohkam village is the Casa Grande or Great House. It was buildt around 1300 and stands 4 stories high and is 60 feet long. A circular hole in the upper west wall aligns with the setting Sun at the summer solstice. This is a great place to visit if you don't want to hike long distances. The entrance fee is only $5 for adults. It has a great vistor center too.

Very cool place! It's amazing that structures like that are still standing and are in relatively good shape.
