Progress Without Progress by PWP (C-64)

A Commodore 64 demo by me in 2006. People have been requesting this, so here it is, with all its buggy and unfinished graphics :)

Man oh man oh man! This is absolutely beautiful, and high, high art. You did this ON a C64? What kind of tools did you use?

No, I always use cross-development tools (in this case, mostly ACME assembler) for my 8-bit stuff.

An example: There are many kinds of cola drinks in the world, and people want you to choose one favorite brand among them. However, regardless of what you choose, you always get a mix of water, carbon dioxide and additives.

Viznut, you are the most interesting demo dude I've ever seen. I really love how you tell a story or message with your demos. It makes it very interesting, and your point of view really gets me thinking, sometimes even disturbs me (but makes me realize just how similar to the real world they really are).

I love watching your demos. They really do stick out from the rest. For that, you are my favourite demo scener. Keep being awesome, and thank you.

The speech is really great, especially as it does not require extensive resources - really impressive!

The theme is nice too and reminds me a little of Cycle/Booze Design.

Interesting tidbit. There is a single frame where, if you pause it during the transition between "increase stupidity" and "we want big numbers" the video displays "increase big numbers" if you get it JUST right...
