  • Steve Perry is right on. Finally a black man with some sense.

  • That is a good comment you wrote there. It takes a village to raise a child, we need more parents involved in their children's school programs. Parents need to start parenting and stop pointing fingers at the educational system.

  • Let's be honest, black kids fail at school because instead of studying and making a effort they are listening to lil wayne and smoking blunts and most of their parents are doing the same damn thing, all kids in school get the same books it's just a matter of reading the damn thing, instead of wiping black kids asses and giving them the grade send your black leaders to black schools and explain how life is hard and what you get out of life is what you put into it instead of making excuses.

  • socialized education hasnt worked throughout americas history. why do people think the future will be any different.

private schools are not evil, america needs to embrace them

  • @fred00111 Here we have another example of someone falling for some simple-minded, punitive policy that’s been driven into our lives by some corporate reformer who has literally never taught anyone anything. ...

  • @ShutHerBug Government control of education is sabotaging American schools. We need freedom to choose schools and government vouchers that would remove government from the choices that our parents should be making that would fix our schools. It is Carter's federal Department of Education that takes our money and our choices that are the tools parents use to force schools to improve. With freedom to choose, bad schools would go bust and better schools would thrive. We must get the feds out.

Freedom to choose schools and government vouchers will remove government from the choices that our parents should be making that would fix our schools. The education problem developed out of Carter's federal Department of Education that takes away our money and our choices that are the tools parents use to force schools to improve.

  • Sharpton represents the faulty thinking that equality is something that is given to you by government edict when equality only consists of our basic God-given rights as expressed in the Declaration of Independnce.

Government cannot create economic equality because we are all different with differing interests that we must be allowed to develop to become the best we can be. Such freedom to compete creates the success that improves society and gives us the best opportunity to reach our goals.

  • @RobSkywalker21 Well, government spending doesn't really have much to do with social justice...more like government justice. Teens and depression isn't a liberal issue, it's a child issue. Also, discrimination is discrimination, no such thing as 'reverse'. In either case, unless you had people say it to your face, then it cannot be fully proven and is perception. On the flip side, now you know how minorities feel in majority areas/scenarios/situations. So take it as an experience.

  • @RobSkywalker21 How, exactly? We can carry this over to PM, if you want. I'm genuinely interested.

  • @RobSkywalker21 Oh shit, word? You one of those white kids they forced into the school because ''minorities must be represented''?
