How does the transmission hold up with the increased horsepower and torque? Is there any need for a tougher clutch?
-
@FutrellAutowerks even with 97 fuel would it still be necessary to upgrade the internals in a stage iii? Also which garret turbo model is used?
-
@legalise86 APR is top of the line. you aren't going to see performance with ko4, injectors, and a stand-alone tune (even if you dyno tune it) like you would with an APR kit.

You guys make this install looks so easy! I wish you were located in So. Fla. I would be a regular customer!
-
Plus ECS Tuning has the worst customer service I have ever had dealings with and I have been driving and working ob VW's for longer than I care to admit.

Hey legalize86 ECS tuning does not sell the K04 kit with software for 2K Your looking at more like 2,600 also the stg3 kit is making 370HP where the K04 might make 312HP on a good day, thats a big difference in my book.
@FutrellAutowerks Is the engine internals upgraded?
Also would upgrading engine internals such as the rods necessary for daily driving?

@M95U Not on this car, and you wouldn't need in internal upgrades at Stage III levels on pump gas, you'd want them for race gas or Stage 3+ however.

Does this kit make the car torque steer???

@FNHfal7 Not really, but we did install a limited slip differential which helps, in general the MK6 really doesn't have a torque steer issue.

BETTER IDEA JUST GET S3 KO4 TURBO KIT SET OF INJECTORS AND HIGH PRESS FUEL PUMP ALL AVAILABLE IN ECS TUNING COST MUCH LESS MAYBE ABOUT 2000$

@legalise86 Thats certainly one path, you'd never see the horsepower numbers we do, also since is a TSI you dont need injectors or high flow fuel pump like you do with a FSI.
