This is a song that I composed using Babya Logic Pro. I'm new to music-making and I was inspired to make this overture.

It is called "The Impossible Battle" and the setting is a fierce duel between hero and villain. The song is fast-paced, dramatic and intense, with each swing of the sword clashing between combatants. Battle ends only when one fighter gives in.

This image is from the Knights of the Nine expansion of the PC game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

I wanted to capture the intensity of a close-quarters duel with an epic feel to it. Took me a few hours to make, so I hope you enjoy it. Oh, and it may be a bit "loud", so adjust your volume appropriately.

My intention is to get better at MIDI making in general and maybe use these songs for a game I am designing. Let me know what you guys think! Comment away!

"Double the size, double the fun."

You could say my inspiration for making medieval music like this is Final Fantasy, Golden Sun, just about any great RPG in a medieval setting. I love those kinds of games and I'm so inspired to make music like this. Enjoy!

  • i thot about it and realized some parts are a little off beat.

0:38-0:40 that mallet instrument had one too many notes

0:46-0:54 those violins where doing good for a while but then it got chaotic.

  • @GoblinsGuild Hi there!

The software I use for my MIDI making is Babya Logic Pro. I use Camtasia Studio 7 to make my videos to upload onto YouTube.

Sure, I can check out your MIDIs, in fact I have time right now.

  • Cool man, I´m also really into making MIDI game music! What software are you using for your game making? Check out my MIDI-compositions and give some feedback if you like!
