Tyler Perry replacing Morgan Freeman as new Alex Cross?

I was reading this article, and i REALLY hope that they dont replace Morgan Freeman with Tyler Perry in the next Alex Cross movie. Morgan Freeman is a legend, and Tyler Perry is a cross dresser. To be honest i havent seen ANY of Tyler Perry's movies, but i dont have to because i've seen enough of Morgan Freeman's movies! The End

I too have read all of the Alex Cross books, and while it is true that Morgan Freeman is a terrific actor, he is now too old to play that role. I have had my doubts as to how well Tyler Perry could do justice to the character, but he may surprise everyone. I do like his movies and I don't think he is a terrible actor.
