Why doesn't Webmaster Tools have multiple-country targeting?

Hi Matt, AdWords allows (and it's pretty accurate) location targeting. Why can't you guys allow multiple country targeting in Webmaster Tools instead of just one? It would solve an age old problem for webmasters targeting multiple countries.

Thanks for answering Matt. Some good points but you're forgetting that (and AdWords is a clear example of this) that some websites ARE relevant to entire countries. Leaving aside the fact that you are paying, some sites just ARE relevant to multiple countries. Forcing webmasters to pick just one is actually making your index LESS relevant.

I have many businesses that are worldwide and rank where the server is based even though I have subfolders for the main countries that I target. That wmt feature just does not work at all.

We need an answer based on this situtaion please.

So essentially what your saying is this, if you have site with the format of youtube, digitalpoint, warriorforum, ebay, any car manufacturer site, facebook, many many forums etc... then we dont cater properly for this? Oh wait a minute isnt that the largest group of users on the internet? You really need to sort this problem out Matt. Its ok for the really really big brand names but for those that are at a seed level its very restrictive and DOES NOT work. (not enough characters left) more...
