  • rubbish..when did caste became central in Hinduism?Karma is central not caste..get some facts right.only one line in RigVeda says"People out of humans, are techers and scholars which should be respect by all, then those who fight for their land followed by those who bring money and resources and in the end who make the land from their hand."...and Aryan invasion is now a discarded theory....

  • @lablask then perhaps you can shed light as to why the caste system is such an important part of hinduism not only in india (until independence) and even up until today in quite a few indian villages. The caste system is also very much a part of a balinese hindus as well? Not to mention sum guyanese hindus keep it alive in kicking?

  • Nice video. But you have missed quite alot of significant ancient religions. One of the first was the sumerian religion. Egypt and Kemet was influenced primarily from sumerians! Hittites were also influenced from sumerians too. The greeks were influenced by the Hittites as well as China and India.

  • @csat35 well it was a class project didn't have a whole lot of time to present it, got real high on it though. Yes, I know about the Hittites

  • sarahew123 Hi, thanx 4 the info. I have never heard this before but is there any evidence that it was a reality based creature? From your answer I'm assuming it's mythical.

  • @14up0 Set is symbolized by what is called the Set Animal. It was considered so terrible that they could not even give it a proper name. Some say that it looked wolf-like, but it was marred by other types of feared predators. It was considered to have red eyes, as if it were a demon, which is what it was considered.

  • I always find it strange that all the Gods of the Egyptian pantheon have a likeness to an identifiable animal, eg Horus, a hawk, Thoth, an ibis, Anubis, a jackle etc but I can not identify Set. Can anyone shed light on this?

  • Testimony of Eusebius and Philostratus. In the seventh century, St. Isidore made a summary in his Encyclopedia of knowledge derived from ancient Greek and Latin authors, many of whose works have now disappeared. Regarding 'Ethiopians' he says in his Etymologiarium (IX.2.128): “They came in ancient times from the River Indus, established themselves in Egypt between the Nile and the sea, towards the south, in the equatorial regions.
