it's the same people back when we thought Mad cow was the end

it's the same people back when we thought Bird flu was the end

it's the same people back when we thought Swine flu was the end

it's the same people back when we thought recession was the end

And now here we go again....

some of these people may be a little weird but most are smart, in case you didn't notice. Disasters happen all the time and people that are more prepared are usually the ones that are better off. maybe the disasters that seem unlikely are a waste of time but others are not and besides its better to be ready for anything. Just because you prepped for a hurricane doesn't mean you're going to be like "oh no i prepped for a hurricane, not a tornado!" There is nothing wrong with prepping.

@StowAlex oh yeah. have a plan, be educated and informed. keep your eyes and ears open at all times. but this show and others like it seem to be pandering to the fear crowd. it's just one of those things i doubt people will get. who knows? they may pull it off well and we'll all come away with new ideas and a better appreciation. they may blow it and we'll all laugh into our tinfoil hats. or it might just feed into millenial paranoia about "the end times".

@afa78djd It's a waste of time in the sense that if the end of the world comes, it will be the *end". When something ends, it doesn't exist anymore. The first definition of the word "world" in the Longmann dictionary is: "The planet we live on, and all the people, cities, and countries on it." If we have the same definition of "end" and "world", then you should understand why I say it's a waste of time to prepare for that. We might have a different point of view of the "end of the world" though

American always want to scare the humankind by creating y2k etc, to make the way of thinking more powerful, people will believe them ((, remember in the USA they actually believe that Jesus was from England ( land of angels) . )))))))))))
