  • Personally, in my opinion, I always thought the Genesis version of EWJ had the best music.

  • i see why.

even though the snes was technically better, the genesis had a more funky beat, while the SNES has kinda of a smoother, more fluent sound.

but the PC version had the best music. that one everyone can agree on cuz it mixes up both the genesis and the snes into one really good soundtrack

  • @pollo20x6 and please don't get me started on the sound effects

Love how the crows sound like chickens in the genesis version

  • "Everytime I see you falling, I get down on my knees and pray."

  • lol psycrow had a faggy theme song, lol, it does add to his character somehow.

Before the PC version was released, the same CD soundtrack appeared on the Earthworm Jim Special Edition for the Sega CD. A year earlier, the SNES and Genesis versions were released. Tommi Tallerico is only credited in the Genesis version for doing the Music, so the SNES version is a conversion. My conclusion from this is that the Genesis soundtrack is the original.

  • @porcorosso81 I think what I meant was that the PC music is what Tommy originally composed and then he proceeded to make it go on the Genesis and SNES

  • @Ultimaflims

Nope, the Genesis/Mega Drive version is the original version of Earthworm Jim (with the SNES version developed simultaneously).

  • The genesis sound chip may have been inferior to the snes one, yet programmers were more used to it, because they had more to time to develop on genesis than on snes. Listen to an early genesis game and you will see how much they evolved around this chip..

  • Yeah, the genesis had good music, but it is true. the snes had better sound, which caused most games to have better music. but that doesnt mean the genesis had bad music.
