William Bramley began his writing career at age twenty-six when he began the research that would culminate into his first book The Gods of Eden. His second book is called Jesus Goes to Hollywood: The Alternative Theories About Christ. @mralanv The earth doesn't know the difference between iron ore and automobiles. Its "resources" are only resources to the extent that we can use them. If humanity went extinct, so would all the so-called resources. We don't "deplete" the earth, we each transform it in small ways that accumulate over time, just like every other life form and physical process. It makes more sense to preserve resources for future humans than to wish for human extinction. But is we do go extinct, so be it.

For some it's just ego (my lifetime is an important saga in history). Other times it's an invention of oppressed peoples to cope with difficult situations they feel powerless to change (it must all come to an end 'somehow', else life is unbearable ).
