It was great the chart show. All the groups in the "indie top 10" were great, how fantastic was the indie scene back then? Gloriously so.

I think this is the very first ITV indies singles run through I ever watched in my life. I was turning 15 in January 1990. And this run through was aired in Germany some time early 1990 on Tele 5 a small TV cable station. It was really impressive to see all those different bands at that particular time. Electronic at No. 2 and the whole Madchester ramble of the Mondays on No. 1. Exilirating!

This Indie Chart is 23rd December 1989.

Thanks 23Daves for all the Indie Charts from this year. It really brings back some memories, especially the Madchester thing. A k lot of this stuff is really good, even though my favourite was the Dance Chart.
