  • also 2 things to watch out for is coffee and tea. They produce a lot of acid in the body . I have learned the hard way to stay away from coffee and tea. and also try get your eating done early say by 5 PM max . no late night snacking . laying around with food in your belly when you sleep will make it much worse....

another note : as strange as this may sound I never had a problem with mexican food... it never caused me acid or heart burn ... it was one of the few that did not

  • for anyone struggling esophagitis

I have acid and esophagitis my throat swelled almost completely shut . it started friday night am getting better now today is tuesday . have been taking 40 mg a day of Prilosec (Omeprazole) doctor recommended ! also been taking ibuprofen for swelling and have radically changed my diet to smaller portions seems to be helping me a lot . also taking histamine H2-receptor antagonists ( ranitidine ) you can buy out walmart for like 10 dollars .

  • How do you grade the level of esophagitis? It based on gross appearance of the mucosa or by histology?
