Didn't this used to be 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea? That's my favorite god damned movie, it sucks they changed it to Finding Captain Ne- i mean Finding Nemo (although I love Finding Nemo too :] )

@Broadwayfan365 But here's the flip-side: the ride in Florida had nothing to do with 20,000 Leagues beyond the subs being based on the Nautilus and the Captain Nemo narration. It didn't tell the story of the film, and so there was no requirement for park guests to be familiar with it. And besides, having seen the source material usually doesn't matter. Very, very few park guests around the world have ever seen "Song Of The South", but that doesn't make Splash Mountain redundant and unvisited...

@SmokyMtnSteam I know, but for the new Fantasyland expansion it will become a Little Mermaid ride.
-
@Benstudio13 The 20K sub lagoon was filled in and became a playground in 2005.
-
@SmokyMtnSteam Actually, that area is going to become a Little mermaid ride, but not in the form of submarines.

does anyone remember from before the new finding nemo submarine voyage opening, there was a promoting program that was about an hour long, all about the history and the new one. it was on cox 3. i have been looking for it since it aired in early 2007 but can't find it. i found it once online but you had to pay to download it. i can't seem to find it anywhere now:( can anyone help?

Ok, so the subs are back at Disney California, great. Now why don't they bring them back at Disney Florida? Because they turned the sub lagoon into a Winnie-the-pooh playground. FAIL.
Oh well, such is life.

They are actually real submarines, however, they don't submerge.

Now that they brought back one classic ride, let's see if Disney could bring Mr. Toad's Wild Ride back to Disney World

I don't think Mr. Toad will make it back to Disney World. He is still available in Disneyland though.

I thought they were going to make a Little Mermaid ride with the submarines but I suppose Nemo is cool too!?

The Little Mermaid ride is coming to DCA in the next couple of years. This summer they are introducing Toy Story Mania.
