Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (March 6, 1475 February 18, 1564), commonly known as Michelangelo, was an Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor, architect, poet, and engineer. Despite making few forays beyond the arts, his versatility in the disciplines he took up was of such a high order that he is often considered a contender for the title of the archetypal Renaissance man, along with his rival and fellow Italian Leonardo da Vinci.

  • the "apple story" is about Knowledge - and in the fresco it is both Adam & Eve that go for the apple - they both choose knowledge

  • @ammusi I am totally agree with u! Congrats for your clear logic!

  • hey thanks. I'm an art history major...

    I love this stuff!

  • Nice to meet u. One question: why so few people understand this simple truth?

  • Interesting note: look at the position of Adam & Eve before they took the apple - now turn them back around to what they were doing before she turned and he reached up. He's standing and she's kneeling in front of him.

Yes, it's what you think it is : )

  • ??? No, I don't think what YOU THINK I THOUGHT!

Yeah I agree with ShadowStrikingNinjas: it seems like homosexuality is getting very big and SENSITIVE subject in our society but which in the Bible is among the things that happened to make God ANGRY.

  • @cagonesss

  • Hello I agree

  • Tribute - 31.October 1514 Immortal MICHELANGELO BUONAROTTI paints his "THE LAST JUDGEMENT" in Sixteenth Chapel

  • @shantiliu because were not gay like you two lovers.michelangelo was gay and his statues look feminine and gay

  • lol @1:35, that was the cardinal who didnt like nudes in the painting, and so Michelangelo portrayed him as King Midas with the donkey ears and getting his crotch bit by a snake. The guy was a genius

  • Italy is an amazing nation too, but fighting so long wars, now still can not maintain most of the colony, maybe also due to internal fight at home? If now, the snake temp people again said if eat that fruit will over GOD, I think 99% people will accept it too. :) haha. Still. always. :) or give you money or power to want to do that. :)

  • THAT IS SO FUCKING SCARY IN THE END!

  • : ) hmmm - I think you thought it : )

anyway, what is interesting isn't so much what we think they were doing - it's that Michelangelo suspects it wasn't the "original sin". In other words - you agree with him that it is about knowledge, not about fooling around. OR - you could see what they were doing - fooling around - as the original sin. It can be read both ways and appeases both audiences.
