From start to Mallow joining.

This is a run of mine on Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (for the SNES) where I complete the level 3 challenge, which means beating the game with Mario at level 3. I play on ZSNES, but only use save states when I need to avoid gaining experience in the egg game. Consider this a visual walkthrough for successfully completing the challenge.

  • @noobThief: yea, that's a standard defensive timing. You can use any of the four main buttons (A, B, Y, X) with proper timing to reduce damage.

  • That being said, the only team I could beat them with was Mario - Geno - Peach... and after multiple experiences I found that it was actually better for Peach NOT to have the Lazy Shell. If she has the lazy shell, she won't have the healing power to keep her allies alive, and then she herself will die. If you don't get the DEF UP stat on a revived ally IMMEDIATELY they'll just die again.

    Clearly my hack is just for the diehard experts. :P Its too bad I lost the data for it. ;-;

  • I was working on a stat hack game. I gave the enemies and bosses crazy stats (and immunity to Jump). Axem Rangers for example had over 100,000 HP altogether. Red (after vigor) had a whopping 510 attack power (doubling the cap of 255). Not even Lazy Shell armor can stand against that. Black is very annoying with his bombs, Green is lethal until he runs out of FP, Pink's healing pwns and Yellow is just a pain in the ass to kill. Breaker Beam is an OHKO unless you had full health and DEF UP status.
