we are still stuck on Earth

fighting over waterholes and oil wells

we still don't have a moon base and the best thing we have is the ISS

the furtherest planet man has gone to is the Moon

and the mean of transport is by flying there using dead plants as fuel

  • Is this MacGyver?

  • @Vejur9000 i agree with everything about your statement...except the film being faithful to the book. In the film, the Soviet and Americans are protrayed as distrusting one another and that the world is on the brink of World War III. In the book, this was not so, in fact Floyd was highly respected by the Soviet crew. And they completely ignored the Chinese landing on Europa and the tragedy of the Tsien.

  • alot cooler than the real year which sadly sucked

  • 2010 year of destruction and Resurrection clearly they fail to predict with the future .

  • @Ltpeppers05 yeah me too :D

  • wow 2010 was nothing like how it was in that movie

  • They should've had Ric Flair do a cameo in this movie.

  • even though this was made in 1984, this is still a brilliant movie, hands down

  • @Hakuron25 2001: A Space Odyssey :D
