Why'd you guys take a hammer to an L-series lens?

Great message.
what camera and model was used to film the video?

@2dphotography I definitely enjoyed the video and it was very inspiring.

How long did you spend on the whole project?
me and my friends would love to give a try with a more simple system
-
How much of the final video was actually one whole take? haha.

I'm a talented photographer who is just out of the state mental hospital. Can I have your job? I would even cut my right hand to work there! I tried to get out of the hospital at least 98 times so I know about persistence, and making tools from scratch!
Great job BTW!

@hplover226 Wow, I hope the class liked it! Thanks for letting us know, that makes it slightly more worth doing :). I enjoyed hearing that.

@scottmarshall456 I (David) sliced the back of my right hand open pretty good. Enough to expose veins and tendons and such :(

How much did it cost like for your time and everything because I'd say yous weren't working while making this video

@stephen1carberry Yep we were working hard the entire time in fact. In March work was so busy that not a single minute went into building this machine. Additionally the machine was largely built during spare time, late evenings and weekends. Only in the final month of construction did we begin to devote full-time work to this project. It was an enormous endeavor and a lot of personal time and energy went into it. :)
