GnC Films - The Oakland Woods Murders (Horror)

Inspired by the low-budget slasher movies of the 1980s, writer/director Gavin Salkeld has crafted THE OAKLAND WOODS MURDERS, which was selected by Screamkings in 2007 for distribution in the USA. Fitting their criteria of horror with a modern edge and a retro sensibility, THE OAKLAND WOODS MURDERS is sure to satisfy low-budget horror fans everywhere!

Shot in 2004, and released on special edition DVD in 2008 by GnC Films. A bare-bones, non-anamorphic version was released later in the US by Screamkings.

I guess you achieved that by matting the frame from 1.78:1? Sort of like Super 35.

Thats right, shoot 1.78 but protect the frame for 2.35:

The film feels like a nightmare, trapped in a realm you can't escape, and even when in society (like at the start with the houses and cars) it still feels like you're invisible and you're still trapped
