Letter 4. [London, March 1767]
Writing from the home of Commodore James, where they had first met, Yorick expresses concern over Eliza's health. He objects to the behaviour of an unidentified family and advises her to ignore them, a course of action with which Mrs James agrees. He realises 'I probably shall never see you more.'
This video is part of the Precious Cargo project by the Laurence Sterne Trust at Shandy Hall entitled 'Eliza Draper -- An Absent Presence'. Precious Cargo is part of Yorkshire's contribution to the Cultural Olympiad, Stories of the World project. The exhibition opens in May 2012.
