women are more easily influenced by fashion, i agree, but you're being very naaive if you think that tyra banks has the girls do nude shoots EVERY CYCLE because its for the benefit of women.

maybe you missed the elimination episode on ANTM where tyra banks rejected a girl because she didnt want to send the wrong message to teens.

i thought it was typical of the australian version, who were craving to emulate the yanks, to try and pass allice off as a girl who 'didnt have a problem with her weight'.
the only people who think alice's choice to win is legit are either australian or anorexic.

model doesn't need to be appealing for men,the industry is so diffrent if you say that a girl who isn't attractive to men,if you want some attractive girl don't look a girl in modelling industry

thats not what i said at any time..dont be so defensive.

but i've spent 'too much time' in africa helping people who cant even feed themselves and thats heartbreaking.

if you think defending someone like alice is a positive just because you want to believe in 'fashion' then you - or anyone else who wants to judge me - needs to take 6 months out there too.

and i promise you - you'll have a much more grounded view on life after that.

teenage girls look up to supermodels and judge themselves according to how their interpretation of what is 'pretty'.

you're both missing the point - i'm not saying this girl should have playboy curves to be a successful model - i'm saying how can anyone reinforce a girl who looks as sickly and gaunt as alice is due to her weight problems, knowing damn well she'll be used as a yardstick by easily-influenced young teens looking to fit into an 'image'?
