@wdobni I'm sure they didn't appear the way you protray them to the people who watched them '100' years ago..I find a lot of the silent films very interesting..I guess you had to be there..

most of these silent pictures are about 100 years old now.....they look and feel like they were made on a distant weird planet by marginally intelligent stick man aliens....they seem to lack art, subtlety, charm, grace, confidence and story. That is not a criticism. But they are hard to watch and seem unrelated to any kind of recognizeable human experience. The Roaring 20's had a zillion interesting new ideas and people but none of them found their way onto the big screen.
