im 21 and when i was 15 i developed a very dibilitating inferiority complex because i believed that becasue i was black, i was ugly and 2nd rate. I kept seeing and hearing how beautiful latinas, middle eastern, asian, hawaian, swedish women were (which they are), but nobody was saying how beautiful black women were, not even black men. but im over it. i know my black is beautiful!

I believe that african american women are catching AIDs becuz of absent fathers and not being taught the and love that fathers provide. I know when i was in high school i lone for my father but he was not apart of my life so i turn to a man at an early age to seek what i was missing and i did not find it and my grandfather taught me what i was missing

This is REAL so many young women need this kind of talking to. In my opinion that is the problem some young women haven't had a older trusted woman to talk real to. So thank you I'm sure that there is somebody who NEEDS to hear this.

I have self esteem issues myself and can relate to what your saying. I grew up being mistreated and it seems like thats just life for me. I'm so sick of it. My partner has been abusive towards me repeatedly, i try to be a good christian pray and forgive but it just keeps going on and on. Recently i've had to take a closer look at my baby fathers sexuality, realizing that he is starting fights with me just to run out the door to go hang out with other males. I pray i dont get AIDS from him.

Right... @Tru, so ur just going to SiT there PRAYING you dont get AiDs until you DO. Instead of being proactive and DOING something about it. Ur rationale is what helped to keep millions enslaved for half a millennium & also part of the reason I can't be a Christian. Jesus NEVER said to stay somewhere letting the gift which God created get mistreated and Abused.
If you dont have enough love for YOURSELF to get away, have enough LOVE for Your CHILD. END this cycle NOW!
