A day at Parque Calderon in Cuenca Ecuador

http://livingfrugalandhappy.blogspot.com This is the main square/city center park of downtown Cuenca. It's a neat little park with pretty plants, a big water fountain, palm trees, and benches for resting while you eat your ice cream.

There's plenty of deep fried potatoes stands and sugary treats if one wants to indulge. However overall the lifestyle is that it's easier to stay healthy.

I have seen those individuals dressed up like a woman (using balloons under their clothes) only in PERU, they are trying to make a buck entertaining people. I'm afraid that guy must be a peruvian, cuencano men don't do such thing.

In many ways I could sense a strong American influence in dress styles, Blue jeans! Blue jeans! Blue jeans originated here in the States in 1873, and now they are popular around the world, even in Cuenca!

i figured people in that area were a little more healthy. Seems there are alot of overweight people there.
