  • You run it off 6V (+-3V)? In the datasheet it sais "Wide supply range 16V-60V", how do you run it with just 6V?

And how many watts can you get on the output with a heatsink that small?

  • @plecto1234 The LM1875 needs 9v (+/- 4.5v) minimum. The TDA2050 works down to 3 volts (+/- 1.5v). These are values I get testing several pieces. The datasheets are probably conservative in their specs to avoid customer complaints due to lot to lot variation of parts. That heatsink keeps it cool enough for only 2 or 3 whats of output (with reduced supply voltage). At say +/- 18 volts supply, that heat sink may not keep it cool enough at idle.

  • hi need some advise. i am nonelectronically inclinded. recently acquired guitar amp. used for a short while. it blew with a loud lightning like snap. no more sound from guitar or at turn on. leds light up. cannot avail of warranty due to situation. open it and founf tda 2050 all cracked. thought maybe it was the trouble and replaced. still no sound.circuit very similar to datasheet and others i have seen. any advice about what to do next? nothing else looks burnt, damaged, etc. thnx

  • @billgator2005 Check for burned speaker voice coil. Check voltages, component values, solder joints. Parts can look good but be bad.

  • My Fender Frontman 15G has the TDA2050 chip. Gets WICKED loud too. its a budget amp, so nothing to be excited about, but man it can get loud

  • 4 ohms and 32 watts?

  • thnx.. will try as you suggest as time permits..i have searched for schematic to the amp with no luck...it's a line 6 spider iv 30...anyone out there have the schematic..

great videos... can you do some videos on servicing guitar amps, especially this style modelling amps..

  • The input capacitor as well as the capacitor from the feedback circuit to ground are both coupling capacitors. They block DC and pass signal. The one in the feedback circuit helps cancel offset by integrating the output signal and referencing the inverting input to the net value, while passing the AC signal to achieve feedback.

  • at about 3.14 you state that the feedback is applied to the "non inverting input", it is of course fedback to the inverting input, Not sure if anyone has noticed this before, but it could be misleading to a beginner.

  • @vegmatic1966 ..would you mind to give me the schematic for 4 to 5 watts amplifier because I am not expert

in developing amplifier and I need it for my disktop computer please........
