could be anything from maxmsp, reaktor to any other bunch of software that allows looping.
he was doing these mic-looping shows back in 2004 already, so its not ableton live 8's looper. its possible that he learnt the techniques from one matthew herbert. hard to say. wouldnt mind having that amount of control tho :)
And.....If somebody plays the guitar and you ask what he uses to make the cool sound....."His finger" wouldn't be a satisfying answer. And music doesn't have to be hard to make to impress me, but if somebody makes a direct comment about his beatboxing-skills and I find the things he does with it not that hard, then I'm just not impressed. I never mentioned his talent for music itself, just his beatboxing skills.......
I know Jamie Lidell is a great singer and I really like his music. But my original comment was about 111oose saying Jamie didn't use software and equipment, which he does. And I don't think he is such a great beatboxer also.
lol, yes it is. haha. plus, the nice thing with this guy is, he can actually sing, really well, so its not like the only thing he does anyway. playing three chords on a guitar aint hard, yet loads of tunes have that. if music has to be hard to impress you, then you're doing it all wrong.
wow, he uses his mouth....f* no he aint. Anyone can input some sounds made with their mouth, he makes the music with that piece of equipment hes got there
Winding up fans is so fucking boring.... the guy is a genius, no fucking matter if you are impressed or not...

u just completely copied my statement: He inputs the sound with his mouth. that's what I said. It's not that hard to do, so i'm not that impressed.

you have no clue, he uses "that piece of equipment" to record the sounds made with his MOUTH so that he can loop and layer them live on the spot
